Group Tours

Group Visit Information & Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in a campus visit with Eastern Michigan University. Our group tours are for groups with more than 6 and less than 100 students.

If you have fewer than 6 students, please schedule a regular campus visit or connect with our office.

Group visits are offered Mondays - Fridays at 10:30 a.m.

Group Visits Include:

45-60 minute walking tour
Optional admissions presentation and panel
Opportunity to dine on campus

Before Requesting a Group Visit:

Group tours are for available high school aged students and older. We are unable to accommodate elementary and middle school groups for admission tours at this time.

Your visit is not confirmed until the Office of Admissions determines availability. You'll receive a follow-up email within 5 business days with next steps.

Visits are granted first-come, first-served. Request your visit at least 2 weeks prior to your desired date for best chances of confirmation.

Chaperones are required. One chaperone per 10-12 students. Chaperones must remain with the group at all times and manage behavior. Misconduct or damages may result in early termination or loss of visit privileges. All guests must adhere to our Student Code of Community Responsibility.

Additional Reminders:

If you are running late on your visit day, call the Admissions Welcome Center at 734.487.6453 so we can assist or reschedule as needed.
If you need to cancel, please do so at least 2 business days in advance by phone or email.
Dining is not arranged by the Office of Admissions. If interested, you can coordinate directly with campus dining using this request form.
Weather Policy: At EMU, our motto is: Rain, sleet, snow, or shine...tours must go! We do our best to showcase our campus in all weather conditions; however, safety is always our top priority, especially during Michigan's most extreme weather. If Eastern Michigan University is closed due to weather or other circumstances, all campus tours and events will be cancelled. In any case, we will notify you via email and text the morning of your visit with any updates or changes.
